Mineralogy and Geochemistry of “Laoshan Jade” from Shandong Province, China: Implications for Petrogenesis
نویسندگان
چکیده
“Laoshan Jade” is located in the Yangkou area of Sulu UHP metamorphic belt. This first time a systematic research study performed on its conventional gemological characteristics, mineral compositions, geochemical and petrogenesis using polarized light microscope, an electron probe microanalyzer (EMPA), X-ray fluorescence spectrometer (XRF), Raman spectrometer. The characteristics are consistent with serpentine jade. It can be named serpentinite, mainly composed (antigorite), chlorite (clinochlore), magnetite. Some samples contain magnesite chromite. Only small amounts unaltered forsterite, chrysolite, diopside found poor-quality protolith peridotite. Antigorite altered from olivine. Clinochlorite diopside. Disseminated magnetite product. Unaltered olivine belong to protolith. Chromite zonal texture also belongs average temperature pressure core calculated 1348 °C 3.1 GPa, which indicates that comes mantle asthenosphere. formation edge lower than 500 °C, origin. XRF experiments show relatively rich Mg more depleted fusible elements (Al, Ca) original peridotite, indicating serpentinite has undergone certain degree partial melting. Combined EPMA results, findings this reveal peridotite subduction zone, partially melted wedge, reacted zone fluid. Pyroxene into chlorite, serpentine, magnet generated. chromite by iron-rich fluid Finally, formed.

The Hajiabad manganese deposit is located about 40 km northeast of Hajiabad, Hormozgan Province. This deposit is structurally located in the southeastern border of the Sanandaj-Sirjan zone. The manganese mineralization in the study area is hosted by calcite-dolomitic marbles and mica schists of Devonian age, as layers, veins and massive ores. Based on microscopic investigations, the ores are do...

This paper discusses the content, distribution, modes of occurrence, and enrichment mechanism of mineral matter and trace elements of an Early Permian coal from Songshao (Yunnan Province, China) by means of coal-petrological, mineralogical, and geochemical techniques. The results show that the Songshao coal is characterized by high total and organic sulfur contents (3.61% and 3.87%, respectivel...
متن کاملCoxsackievirus B3, Shandong Province, China, 1990–2010
To determine the cause of a 2008 outbreak of aseptic meningitis in Shandong Province, China, we analyzed samples from outbreak patients and coxsackievirus B3 samples collected during 1990-2010 surveillance. The cause of the outbreak was coxsackievirus B3, genogroup D. Frequent travel might increase importation of other coxsackievirus B3 genogroups.
متن کاملCysticercosis in Shandong Province, Eastern China
We analyzed demographic and clinical data and estimated the incidence of cysticercosis in Shandong Province, China, during 1975-2014. Our analyses showed that a cysticercosis-endemic area is present in Shandong Province, especially in its western regions. Improved surveillance and control are needed to address the elevated risk for cysticercosis in this region.
